Good morning, junior crew. With the heavy news of last night carrying into Saturday morning, things are incredibly quiet around the CSS Eudora. You may carry on with your personal business during the morning, but come 11:00, a soothing voice will cut into the air and announce that at 12:00 everyone must report to "the Conference Hall." Strange, however, that it's not on the map.
Never fear, your I.R.I.S. will automatically project a small beam of warm, orange light on the ground, directing you towards an enormous lift stationed by the mess hall. Come 11:50, if you aren't on the lift, you will certianly find yourself moving there physically whether you intend it or not. The lift is capable of carrying every occupant of the Eudora to a sublevel ramp that leads towards the mentioned Conference Hall.
The enormous hall opens up past two large, double doors with the word EUDORA printed over it. Within, a lengthy monitor sprawls across the entirety of it, displaying Thursday night's victims profiles along with a large map of the Eudora herself. With plush, dark seats in rows and a long table at the head of the room where four members of your senior crew await, it is clear what exactly this space is for, especially as the words TRIAL IN SESSION appear on the monitor and an ominous-looking countdown:

Welcome to your fourth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about Margaret and Sora's murders. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST to 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST, unless you've spoken with the mods previously, as we'll begin tallying votes on the dot. Voting is mandatory for Spacecoast, acting as our weekly activity check in this game.
Good luck!

INVESTIGATIONS
LUXURIOUS VENUS
however: ] It's a mess in there, so don't rush. We might take a little longer on this one - I recommend that if you find anything big, make sure you message the conference so that they're kept up to date. I can carry anything you need me to hold onto, though.
[ the good news is that there's not anything on fire, no smoke, nothing seeming amiss that would be an immediate hazard to anyone.
shall we? ]
no subject
[ sighs. ]
But okay, thanks.
[ alllll right. i guess we'll start at the front of the spa since that's how spaces work, so he'll head over to look at the salon area with the hair and nail stuff... anything out of place here? ]
no subject
Ugh... you're making it sound like we're about to walk into a total disaster zone...
[ so she'll hang near the entrance and see... at a glance, does anything look like a total disaster zone?
and more specifically, anything going on with the floor or the area around the entrance (idk if we have doors but if so she's checking it)? ]
no subject
[ anyways. one of the other mods made this, which hopefully will help out with visualizing things.
we do have doors! they're open but there's nothing wrong with them, fortunately, so we're moving on. the area around the entrance, anise will find a trail of blood comprised of small droplets that lead towards the right side of the salon. there's also a wet trail of... water, in the form of footprints, leading up the center of the room and out the door.
they'll both notice that it's warmer than it should be in here, also. but not in a dangerous way it's just muggy.
todomatsu gets to find that this place is a fucking mess, actually. there are two styling stations that are disturbed, one on each side, and it's absolute chaos as a whole in here. overturned chairs, thrown styling and makeup supplies, broken glass. hopefully we can make sense of this together. do you want to start on the right side or the left side first, eric? ]
no subject
Yikes, you weren't kidding...
[ he'll take the right side! what are we looking at here... is the broken glass from mirrors, bottles...? ]
no subject
okay, if she follows these (genshin voice) wet footprints, where do they come from? she is heading there. ]
no subject
[ smooches you both on the head and then shuffles papers
ok so there are two stations that are a mess, and they're on the right side. misread me notes - there is still a mess on the left side of the room, though. the right is where anise's blood trail drip dropped towards, which is accompanied by something white smeared and splattered everywhere. the first styling station (now referred to as station 1 for ease of reading) has a broken mirror, and there are pieces of glass on the ground where they didn't manage to stay in the framework of the mirror of the station. the splatter of white is here, on what remains of the glass and framework.
there's a lot of stuff on the ground to sort through, besides the glass. we will get to station 2 shortly.
for anise, the footprints come from back back back, down the hallway. she'll also find just general splashes of water and cucumber slices along with this. the cucumber slice water starts towards the middlepoint of the two rooms, whereas the footprints lead from the hot springs side. the door here is open, and is the source of the muggy warmth; the massage lounge door is slightly ajar. ]
no subject
...he's going to check the white stuff, actually, what does this look like? skin cream? hair dye mix before the color is added? something else? he knows this place and its offerings pretty damn well. he'll sniff it to check... and i guess maybe wipe a little onto a paper towel or something to bring back... ]

COMPSCI DEPT. & LIBRARY
There you are, try to be careful and watch your step. [ A general light concern. ] I'll be along nearby if you are in need of anything.
[ And here is some general location flavortext of the area:
Though, as the group can begin to press through, there looks to be a wet trail of sorts leading in. ]
no subject
Thanks, buddy. [ to metis ]
[ nodd will hone in on the wet trail, because computers are still scary after only a few short, murderous weeks. what's the color? does it help if he uses the i.r.i.s. flashlight app to get a better look at it? crouching down to sniff??? not yet licking. ]
no subject
no subject
she'll follow arthur for now, though she's looking for that computer that was locked? or mentioned to be locked? did i hallucinate this.
not that she'll be able to do anything about it but hey.]
no subject
The room is generally pretty well lit so it makes no difference between the flashlight app and not, though he can tell right away this is a bit of a translucent wet and very clearly foot shapes. Sniffing it... does not really have a smell. But there does seem to be another trail, in the form of small droplets of a dark shade following alongside the translucent one.
Arthur making his way further in will notice a fizzling from a nearby desk and a stray closed book in the middle of the floor just out and about with the floor an almost different shade compared to the rest of the carpet.
Throné following after Arthur will have her seeing the same thing, though since she's specifically looking out for a computer, she'll find one close by that has clearly been blown up. It fizzles a little, but it seems to be the only one in this state. Other computers nearby seem shut off except for one. ]
no subject
Cheese cheese.
[ snapping pics, one with his own besandaled foot (YOU SEE HIS TOES!!!! FOR FREE) next to the print for size comparison
anything to be gleaned from sniffing the dark stuff? is this blood? oil? ]
no subject
Cheese...?
[anyways. he glances at throné when he notices the computer thing going on.]
I can examine that if you want to look at the book.
[he isn't super technologically savvy but between the two of them,]
no subject
but she nods a bit at arthur.]
... That may be for the best. [and she'll go check the book! and the floor.]

COSMIC MULTIPLEX
Upon walking in, it's dark as a theater should be and there's a movie currently playing. ]
no subject
well, he's going to start walking down the steps toward the front of the theatre. anything immediately out of place? also, i'm assuming it's dark as theatres are. ]
We may benefit from improving the lighting in here if we hope to conduct a thorough search.
no subject
[ guy will look for a light switch, but also squinting in the semi-darkness to see if anything else stands out ]
Got it.
no subject
[ While Guy searches for that, Mizuki will start veering towards the back end of the room. ]
no subject
To note the structure, there are two stairways for the rising seats (one closest to the entry/exit, then the one on the other side of the seating aisles) and then the cinema stage with the ground floor seats.
Both Dion and Mizuki go into the theater, having to start at the bottom, they will see the same trail of blood. Dion stands there, trying to see if there's anything immediately suspicious at the ground floor. It's difficult when there are so many seats both on the ground floor, then the rising aisles in the back where Mizuki is, so he may need to decide which area he'd like to look.
For Mizuki who is already heading to the back end of the theater, which would be up the stairs, she will find the blood trail connect here all along this stairway which is closest to the entrance. The closest seat to the stairway in the furthest aisle looks a little dark and damp on the top. ]
no subject
[ ??? a clue??
but okay, he'll look at the area in front of the screen first since he's here. anything on the ground here? or any damage to the screen itself? ]
no subject
I'm not sure about the movie. It seems like... science fiction?
[ question mark. just to clarify the blood trial comes from the entry, goes to the backend, then loops back around to the exit? guy will also check the confession stand since i'm assuming it's nearish to the entrance ]
no subject
[ Help her she was born in 2007 do you think she would know. ]
Wait, I see it.
[ She will continue up, following the blood trail! When she reaches the top and spots the seat, it's... time to examine this some more. If she presses a finger against the edge of the damp.. spot... does it leave any residue? ]
