I.R.I.S. SYSTEMS ARE UPDATING TO ALLOW SHIP AND CONCOURSE-WIDE ACCESS AT THIS TIME IN PREPARATION FOR INVESTIGATION AND RESOLUTION OF THE EVENTS FROM THURSDAY EVENING AND FRIDAY MORNING.

Good morning, junior crew. With the heavy news of last night carrying into Saturday morning, things are incredibly quiet around the CSS Eudora. You may carry on with your personal business during the morning, but come 11:00, a soothing voice will cut into the air and announce that at 12:00 everyone must report to "the Conference Hall." Strange, however, that it's not on the map.

Never fear, your I.R.I.S. will automatically project a small beam of warm, orange light on the ground, directing you towards an enormous lift stationed by the mess hall. Come 11:50, if you aren't on the lift, you will certianly find yourself moving there physically whether you intend it or not. The lift is capable of carrying every occupant of the Eudora to a sublevel ramp that leads towards the mentioned Conference Hall.

The enormous hall opens up past two large, double doors with the word EUDORA printed over it. Within, a lengthy monitor sprawls across the entirety of it, displaying Thursday night's victims profiles along with a large map of the Eudora herself. With plush, dark seats in rows and a long table at the head of the room where four members of your senior crew await, it is clear what exactly this space is for, especially as the words TRIAL IN SESSION appear on the monitor and an ominous-looking countdown:

Welcome to your fourth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about Margaret and Sora's murders. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST to 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST, unless you've spoken with the mods previously, as we'll begin tallying votes on the dot. Voting is mandatory for Spacecoast, acting as our weekly activity check in this game.

NPC QUESTIONS

[ Adrastea is the one standing this week, jacket draped over their shoulders as they keep watch over the other officers and trial alike. There's a soft whirring sound from inside of their helmet every time they scan the group, eyes consistently brighter compared to the last trial that this group oversaw. They do keep glancing over at the other three as if taking stock of them, but their attention mostly goes out to the junior crew.

Amalthea this week has decided they will finally sit down... While they're not serving tea themselves, there is a little refreshment station with snacks readily available at this table for now until drones come in to deliver lunch. In terms of aura, they're giving solemn and downcast while every once in a while pressing their hand against the center of their chest.

Metis has a solemn air about them, quietly checking on Amalthea, but otherwise has their attention focused towards all of the Junior Crew and will greet everyone with a nod. A hand rubs around their neck beneath their helmet now and then when they seem distracted. Otherwise, they will occasionally have drones come deliver freshly made food, provide drinks and so forth for anyone that is in need of something.

Thebe is seated at the table with a black cat curled up as a loaf in their lap while they scroll through their I.R.I.S., colorful message bubbles obvious as they correspond with the other four officers, their rabbit-ear antennae flicked back. The mod who plays Thebe may not be able to reply often due to current circumstances. Due to this, players are welcome to request them and a second NPC to interact with, but we encourage all important questions be given to that second NPC for now. ]

glancing over at the others, with metis and amalthea specifically getting a once-over. ]

They'll be alright. Amalthea experienced what I did on our mission, but we've ensured that they were taken care of - so long as no one pushes themselves overly much, it's business as usual.

[ Their shoulders relax a little when she comes by, the helmet blipping a red ^^ very briefly. ]

I'm - [ A pause. ] Well, some of us are a bit under the weather, however nothing we cannot see to afterward. How are you?

otherwise, he's going to adrastea as usual, giving the others (especially amalthea) a concerned look. ]

Are you sure they can't, like, take a break...?

We won't be sending them out on anything too taxing, and for most of this time they'll be remaining seated. [ or else ] The other four have more tiring work by comparison, due to them being actively going through the ship and doing the essential work.

Were you guys able to find Aurora Nebbins, or is she still somewhere out there, do you think?

In our limited time we were not capable of finding her, so she is possibly somewhere out there still.

We know the medical pods can't be used during lockdown and on Friday, but do you think that'd necessarily apply to the rest of Thursday night, given that other lockdown rules don't quite work then?
