WEEK 3 TRIAL 36 CREW ACTIVE

ALL CREW MEMBERS, PLEASE REPORT TO THE CONFERENCE HALL AT 1200 HOURS. REPEAT, ALL CREW MEMBERS REPORT TO THE CONFERENCE HALL AT 1200 HOURS. I.R.I.S. SYSTEMS ARE UPDATING TO ALLOW SHIP AND CONCOURSE-WIDE ACCESS AT THIS TIME IN PREPARATION FOR INVESTIGATION AND RESOLUTION OF THE EVENTS FROM THURSDAY EVENING AND FRIDAY MORNING. Good morning, junior crew. With the heavy news of last night carrying into Saturday morning, things are incredibly quiet around the CSS Eudora. You may carry on with your personal business during the morning, but come 11:00, a soothing voice will cut into the air and announce that at 12:00 everyone must report to "the Conference Hall." Strange, however, that it's not on the map.

Never fear, your I.R.I.S. will automatically project a small beam of warm, orange light on the ground, directing you towards an enormous lift stationed by the mess hall. Come 11:50, if you aren't on the lift, you will certianly find yourself moving there physically whether you intend it or not. The lift is capable of carrying every occupant of the Eudora to a sublevel ramp that leads towards the mentioned Conference Hall.

The enormous hall opens up past two large, double doors with the word EUDORA printed over it. Within, a lengthy monitor sprawls across the entirety of it, displaying Thursday night's victims profiles along with a large map of the Eudora herself. With plush, dark seats in rows and a long table at the head of the room where four members of your senior crew await, it is clear what exactly this space is for, especially as the words TRIAL IN SESSION appear on the monitor and an ominous-looking countdown:

Welcome to your fourth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about Margaret and Sora's murders. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST to 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST, unless you've spoken with the mods previously, as we'll begin tallying votes on the dot. Voting is mandatory for Spacecoast, acting as our weekly activity check in this game.

[ is there any actual damage to the chair besides the blood? like any rips in the material or anything?

so it's mostly nail polish that got knocked over and the other stuff didn't? does it look like that's because the nail stuff was all in one place that happened to get hit, or like it was specifically targeted for some reason? is it just polish or also remover/other nail stuff? is it just knocked over but still present either on the vanity or the floor, or does it look like some of it was removed from the area altogether? are any particular bottles used or open? ]

[ oh... takes this shoe and puts it with the pillow.

and she sighs and finally gives up on doing this the easy way... and removes everything but her dress so she can slip into the water and try to dive down and reach for the thing that's in there. ]

[ no tears in this. since you guys were sent the video, this is the chair that the body was deposited in, so nothing exciting happened in it.

it's possible that this was a targeted thing, as the nail stuff is usually all grouped together for the convenience of nail painting and whatnot. nothing was used or opened, but if he'd like to put them all back in their spots, think like one of these, he can see if any are missing from what's been knocked to the floor. there's some nail polish remover available but it doesn't seem like it was used either.

anise will find that the water is pleasant and relaxing, as always, and that her skin and hair will be luxurious as she emerges like venus when she surfaces again, after retrieving...

[ yeah, he figured that was this chair, just wanted to make sure nothing else happened outside of the video... okay.

[ emerges from the hot spring, :wet: and luxurious and venus-like and armed!

... the gun will be gently left with the shoe and pillow. please bring her a towel.

can she see the dark thing that she passed by in this hallway earlier? what is it. ]

[ i linked eric the dumb image but onwards, todomatsu goes into a zen mindset and puts the nail polish bottles back into their station. order doesn't matter, we're not going for organization here. what we do get is that there's one bottle of nail polish missing of an unknown color.

adrastea has... four towels for anise. because she has a lot of hair, a body, and pieces of evidence she would like to maybe carry in a towel. the fourth one is for them.

the dark shape from the doorway is the broken louboutin's mate, undamaged. you have a whole pair of shoes, a gun, a dog(?), and a pillow now from the hot springs. ]

[ just to double check, it isn't like, the same nail polish collection at every station, right? like he can't compare to the other ones to see what color might be missing? ]

[ returns the shoe to the side of its mate... they are reunited.

taking a towel and pulling it around herself as she takes a peek in the massage lounging area... taking a look at this slightly-ajar door before pushing it open a little more to look inside. ]

[ nope, they're all different colors that can be rotated around from station to station depending on what you want done. either by your hand or the mysterious powers that be of the salon. want to double check anything else on the right side here, or go to the left?

anise can try to peek, but the door has a hard time opening further. she'll have to give it a good push to fully open it, but she can probably slip through the space that's available to see what might be in the way. she's smol. ]

[ i guess he'll just briefly check the floor over here again for anything out of place that could have been dropped, carefully moving larger glass shards around as needed, and check for any possible marks, blood, or prints or anything on the wall/glass/etc. it seemed pretty obvious from the video that a glass shard was being used as a weapon but he assumes that didn't end up back here.

if nothing new stands out, he'll head over to the left side to see what's going on there. ]

[ okay, she's slipping in through the gap to enter the room... what does she see at a glance? what was blocking the door? ]

[ it does not appear that the glass shard was returned to the broken mirror pieces on the ground, no. but a check around the floor here doesn't yield anything else, fortunately, so he can move on to the left side of the room. it's a bit more of a disaster over here, with chairs knocked to the ground and a myriad of supplies thrown around. some of the nail polish on this side of the room has been broken, glass shattered and vibrant splatters of color all over the place.

hair dryers, combs, those water things that the stylists put the combs in to clean them, and straighteners litter the floor with the nail polish, but there seem to be bigger pieces of glass in the midst of the chaos, along with glitter and a great deal of water.

one of the overturned chairs is facing closer to the entryway than the stations over here.

in the massage lounge, a chair was pushed up against the door. it was moved enough at some point to allow it to open just enough, so anise can move that if she likes. cucumbers and face masks are all over the place - there's even a cucumber slice slowly sliding down the wall, ew - but a lot of the massage tables and other chairs have been upended in here, clearly damaged even at a glance.

there's also mood lighting in this room, if she would like to disable it into normal lights. ]

[ jesus. okay. looking through this mess — on the floor, under the chairs, on the vanities — is there anything that seems out of place in the sense that it isn't just something from the spa that would have landed there in a struggle? any outside items?

he'll take a picture of the broken glass and glitter and water too, and gather the big glass pieces to take back. maybe also find a cup or something to collect some water and glitter in? are the water and glitter together?

i assume we can't really look at any of these things in detail right now, but just from looking at the stuff on the floor and the layout of this scene and thinking about last week's cases, is there any reason to think this scene could have involved a blizzard? ]

[ ... yeah she will turn up the lights. no more moods!

she'll check the chair propped against the door for any damage, stains, or marks of any kind before pulling it away so non-anise-sized people are able to enter.

is there a shelf or table those cucumbers and eyemasks were being kept on that she can see? is that part of this chaos? and with the lights turned up, can she see anything in the mess that looks out of place?

she'll take a look at the damage on the tables and chairs. is it damage from things being knocked around, or is there anything that looks like distinct marks from something else? ]

[ he will find, on the floor amidst all the chaos, a garlic bomb from the strihira supply shop week. what's that doing in a spa? there's also something sticking out on the other side of the sideways chair that got knocked towards the entryway, if he wants to take a closer look at that one in particular.

for the most part, the water and the glitter are together! there's some of the nail polish swirled in there, but he can collect enough of the thick-ish and sparkly water into a cup to take back.

it doesn't seem likely that a blizzard happened here, but it's hard to tell considering it's muggy in the entire location at the moment. the destruction and chaos is more human-made than what a blizzard would cause.

the chair against the lounge door doesn't have any damages to it, but it was wedged up there with a determination before it was moved just enough. there used to be a table that the cucumbers and eyemasks were on, one of those sidetable things with a drawer in it and a stand on top. that is amidst the chaos, yes.

with the lights on, she'll catch a metallic sheen here and there in the damages and mess. but the chairs have been torn into, slashed and missing some chunks, deep enough that the stuffing has come out of them. some of the tables have scratches in them.

[ i. sure! okay! takes this garlic bomb and this glitter water cup. there truly is so much going on in this fucking spa. it got ruined so much harder than he could have even imagined.

he will indeed go check out that chair closer to the entry once that's done. is this like one of the regular salon chairs that just happens to be further away or is it a different kind of chair? can he tell what's sticking out down there without moving it?

he'll take a picture and then move the chair off carefully and put it back upright unless seeing what's under it makes him think that's a bad idea for some reason. ]

what's the metallic sheen? is it part of the furniture or is it a trace of something else? she'll poke around more closely at this mess.

[ it is one of the regular salon chairs, but when he gets closer he'll find that there's blood splattered along the other side. there's also some scuffs and slashes that reached the stuffing. they really did fuck this place up.

he touches the chair to move it upright, and while it's not a bad idea to move it, he'll be able to feel something smeared on it that isn't blood. what's his mood, eric, because his hands are going to come away a fun and funky fresh color. (the thing on the floor is still there as this happens it does not move.)

the metallic sheen is not part of the furniture! it turns out to be shards of metal - careful with handling them, they look sharp. the ceiling and walls seem otherwise fine, besides some splatter of water and the lone cucumber slice still making its ardent way down.

adrastea pokes their head in to see what anise is talking about, before slipping through carefully now that they're mostly dry. ]

Point out which ones you want, and I'll get them over.

[ he is Stressed like most of the people here are so i guess his hands are black now. cool. ]

so, okay! what is on the floor where this chair was? ]

Hmm... maybe that, and that? [ pointing at a slashed chair and a scratched table. ]

[ and she's going to try to gather up these shards of metal and place them on a towel... as carefully as possible, and as many as possible. does it seem like she can get them all, or are they very fine/numerous?

EDITS I'M SORRY but she'll also do another thorough check through the mess, looking under and inside furniture, in drawers, in the open gaps of slashed chairs, for anything she could have missed. ]

the thing on the floor... well, there's two things, now that the chair is out of the way. one is a blood-stained towel, and the other is a bloodied shard of glass.

with a synthetic sigh, the table and chair that are indicated are pulled into portals that adrastea aligns as flush to the floor as possible so that they just plunk right through. ] Alright, I'm going to see if Todomatsu needs anything big brought along, too.

[ and out they go. they also need to get their shoes and jacket. while anise picks up these metal shards, there's quite a few - but she can collect most of the pieces safely. a few are too small to really get. if she'd like to do another look around, she can see if there's any other pieces. ]

[ points to the gross chair ]

Can we send this back too, for weapon comparisons?

[ great. picks up a bloody towel and glass shard, very carefully.

anything else he'd notice from looking around the room out here? nothing on the walls on this side either? he can do a quick look through all the drawers as long as he's here too. ]

[ she will do another look around for more pieces! turning over face masks and displacing cucumbers to gather as much as possible.

also, curious: there's a ton of damage all over this room, but is there any blood? also is there any water spilled in here, or is it mostly just the cucumbers and facemasks? ]

Might as well. Anise had me send the... thing and some massage furniture back.

[ adrastea carries their heels and coat over, avoiding stepping in evidence with their stocking feet, setting them down before doing the same thing with the massage chair and table to the salon chair. thunk, into the portal it goes.

todomatsu appears to have found everything! he may snoop to his heart's content until anise rejoins them so they can make a quick trip to the tram car.

fortunately, anise gets to find... the hilt of a broken sword, underneath an overturned table. she does not find any more collectable pieces of metal.

double checking the doc for this answer, it appears to only be the cucumbers for your eyes and facemasks for your. faces. no water OR BLOOD I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT in here! ]
