Good morning, junior crew. With the heavy news of last night carrying into Saturday morning, things are incredibly quiet around the CSS Eudora. You may carry on with your personal business during the morning, but come 11:00, a soothing voice will cut into the air and announce that at 12:00 everyone must report to "the Conference Hall." Strange, however, that it's not on the map.
Never fear, your I.R.I.S. will automatically project a small beam of warm, orange light on the ground, directing you towards an enormous lift stationed by the mess hall. Come 11:50, if you aren't on the lift, you will certianly find yourself moving there physically whether you intend it or not. The lift is capable of carrying every occupant of the Eudora to a sublevel ramp that leads towards the mentioned Conference Hall.
The enormous hall opens up past two large, double doors with the word EUDORA printed over it. Within, a lengthy monitor sprawls across the entirety of it, displaying Thursday night's victims profiles along with a large map of the Eudora herself. With plush, dark seats in rows and a long table at the head of the room where four members of your senior crew await, it is clear what exactly this space is for, especially as the words TRIAL IN SESSION appear on the monitor and an ominous-looking countdown:

Welcome to your third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about Sidon's and Ashe's murders. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST to 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST, unless you've spoken with the mods previously, as we'll begin tallying votes on the dot. Voting is mandatory for Spacecoast, acting as our weekly activity check in this game.
Good luck!

as kazuki and sheba enter, they can tell even at a first glance that some real shit went down here. all sorts of dapper clothing and accessories have been strewn about; display racks have been knocked over.
they will both something is sticking out of the wall right by the entrance now that they're inside... ]
no subject
after that, she'll head over to take a look at the strewn-about clothes, accessories, and display racks. she'll take a picture of the mess here, too. does it seem like they just got knocked over, or if there anything else that might have indicated a fight in this area? blood, weapons, scuffs or damage to the displays, ripped clothes, damage to the floor or walls over here?
also looks up at the ceiling just to be sure there isn't anything stuck up there since there was something in the ceiling of the medbay last week.]
no subject
this place is a mess! does it look like there might have been a struggle, or just like things got blown around? can they even tell. is there water or glass? can they tell at a glance if anything is torn or broken, or just tossed around?
what is that thing in the wall... ]
no subject
sheba and kazuki can see that it's an arrow sticking out of that wall actually! it's at a height where she could pluck it out if she wanted to (about chest height).
doesn't look like there's any water or glass when rummaging around this particular area. the store forks into two winding paths. the left path shows that there are even more clothes and mess like what you are currently encountering, more mess, more dapper clothes, and few leather bags, one of which has something sticking out of it.
the right path shows the other side of the store, where a mannequin seems to be sticking out at a weird angle, opposing the messy path. ]
no subject
glances at kazuki...]
Should we split up to cover more ground? Maybe check the mannequin over that way and the one by the window, then follow that mess together?
[she'll go whichever way kazuki doesn't go!]
no subject
[ oof. okay, kazuki will take pictures of the general mess and of both paths through the store. ]
We don't have a ton of time, so we should definitely split up. But if you find something you think I need to know about, text me or just yell. I'll do the same thing.
[ since he's probably more familiar with stores like this, mannequins and all, he should probably go for the right path. what do you mean the mannequin is sticking out a weird angle? like it's on the floor, sticking out of a clothing rack, or it's just in a weird place? does it look damaged at first glance? ]
no subject
kazuki takes another picture! and then begins to walk towards the right side of the store while sheba looks at the mannequin in the window. she will see upon approaching, the lonely hatted and caned mannequin and a tightly packed cane display near the window display as she goes. something wet glints on the floor.
kazuki meanwhile will choose the right path. as you've specified he is walking slowly to keep an eye out for things... as he approaches this mannequin he will notice that this particular mannequin is positioned precariously enough that if he were walking in carelessly, he might actually have sent it toppling it over. good job! in its hand, there is a chef's knife gripped in its hand. ]
no subject
then she'll go look at the mannequin in the window and the plain cane it's holding. can she reach high enough to slide it out of the mannequin's hand? because she'll take that since it seems out of place.]
no subject
this mannequin: A KNIFE
god. he closes his eyes for a moment before taking a picture of this fucking mannequin. before he extracts the knife, is it. bloody. it's bloody isn't it. is there any blood on the mannequin itself... ]
no subject
she can get the cane from the front window display by grabbing the bottom of it. it is a pretty tight fit actually, but it does eventually slide right out of the mannequin's hands with some elbow grease. she now has a plain cane as well...
kazuki takes another pic of this mannequin WITH A KNIFE and then extracts the knife. there is no blood on this knife, that is about all that kazuki can tell right now. there's no blood on the mannequin either. ]
no subject
but she is not going to lick it or anything, so, with that done, she'll do another quick scan of the area by the mannequin in the window and the nearby canes, then head back to where the mess leads into the winding path to wait for kazuki so they can investigate that part together. anything she can see right by the entrance of it as she's waiting?]
no subject
but alright, further down the path. is there any other mess down this way, or any sign of the missing third mannequin? anything on the floors, or walls? displays all intact over on this side?
also glances at the ceiling he doesn't trust any of you. ]
no subject
sheba is parked to continue to the left, messy path.
meanwhile an anvil comes crashing down and kazuki dies (no.) there is nothing on the ceiling but the lights. the mannequin doesn't seem to be damaged in any way, but when he removes the knife, it does precariously fall right down in the way of the right path because it wasn't angled in a very stable position to begin with.
heading down the messy left path after being reunited, they will encounter what looks to be even more mess - a third arrow jutting out of a wall judging by the fletching. this one is positioned pretty low actually.
nearer to that... a small spatter of blood that begins to trail along the ground, even further in. ]
no subject
well she is on the alert because of the sound of that mannequin falling. when kazuki rejoins her, she immediately asks - ]
Are you okay?
[...but for now it's time to continue down that path. she'll grab the arrow jutting out of the wall, since she's already carrying the first two, and since her hands are kind of full she trusts kazuki to take a picture of the spatter of blood before heading down the path.
is this the winding paths that lead back toward the fitting rooms that are mentioned on the locations page? she'll keep continuing on down it to see how far the mess goes, all the way to the back.]
no subject
Fine. The mannequin just fell over, that's all. [ holds up his prize for her to see... ] It had a knife.
[ for some godforsaken reason. he does take a picture of the blood with a sigh. is the trail like droplets, or bigger splatters? does it get worse or fade away the further they go in? ]
no subject
this winding path does indeed take you guys in the general direction of the fitting rooms, yes!
sheba takes an arrow, kazuki takes a picture. we are basically in the groove now. the blood spatter, upon taking a picture of it, is just spatters and droplets, nothing big. they both will find that this droplet trail will lead further into the mess toward… yet another arrow. here, it is piercing into the ground just before what look to be two toppled-over figures... dare i say.
more mannequins. ]
no subject
and then frowns at the mannequins. she nudges one with her foot none-too-gently, then steps over it.]
I'm going to check if there's anything else back here...
[that way they can cover as much ground as possible. anything of note behind the mannequins, mods? what does she see if she takes the rest of the path to the fitting rooms - more arrows, more blood trail, more mess?]
no subject
do they have blood on them... if not, he's going to go around and head down the path with sheba, eyes open for any more blood or wet stuff or more mannequins.
do the fitting rooms look normal at first glance? any open or broken doors, any blood on those doors? more arrows embedded in them? ]
no subject
kazuki is gonna be in natgeo one day. he takes a picture… and no they are not holding knives or anything. in fact, as kazuki moves towards them to follow sheba, he feels something gently catch on his foot before he can step further. again, because you mentioned he is going slowly at the beginning to take in things, you doomed him to avoid what looks to be some kind of difficult-to-see material strung between these two mannequins in amongst the mess.
the left mannequin kind of goes from resting on its side where it was toppled to its back and… something clatters and glimmers a bit as it does so right by kazuki’s shoe. ]
no subject
no subject
also, if he looks closer, what is this material? wire, fishing line, thread? if he follows it end to end, does it look like the two mannequins were tied together? can he take this material...
also, if he moves the mannequins slightly, is there anything of note underneath them? ]
no subject
if he moves the mannequins, there is nothing else of note underneath them! just more clothing mess and just the ground after that.
meanwhile, for sheba, she is rewarded by a whole shopping basket full of dapper perfumes falling all over her. they clatter and crash, some of them breaking open upon impact with the ground, others knocking her in the head, some of the glass breaking at the top of the door and raining down upon her. woe, stench be upon ye.
io hears this crash and pokes their head up over a rack, hello? ]
You okay in there!?
[ you guys may react, but i'll tell you right now so you can go back to trial - you have everything you need in here. io will take you back... perfume stink, all your evidence, et al. ]
no subject
What the hell?!
[
yeah time to get out of here. bye. she is so mad. i guess she'll use the basket to carry their stuff back in though and scoop up some of the perfume glass, though she'll also step on some of it in annoyance.]
no subject
Sheba! What the hell, are you okay?
