I.R.I.S. SYSTEMS ARE UPDATING TO ALLOW SHIP AND CONCOURSE-WIDE ACCESS AT THIS TIME IN PREPARATION FOR INVESTIGATION AND RESOLUTION OF THE EVENTS FROM THURSDAY EVENING AND FRIDAY MORNING.

Good morning, junior crew. With the heavy news of last night carrying into Saturday morning, things are incredibly quiet around the CSS Eudora. You may carry on with your personal business during the morning, but come 11:00, a soothing voice will cut into the air and announce that at 12:00 everyone must report to "the Conference Hall." Strange, however, that it's not on the map.

Never fear, your I.R.I.S. will automatically project a small beam of warm, orange light on the ground, directing you towards an enormous lift stationed by the mess hall. Come 11:50, if you aren't on the lift, you will certianly find yourself moving there physically whether you intend it or not. The lift is capable of carrying every occupant of the Eudora to a sublevel ramp that leads towards the mentioned Conference Hall.

The enormous hall opens up past two large, double doors with the word EUDORA printed over it. Within, a lengthy monitor sprawls across the entirety of it, displaying Thursday night's victims profiles along with a large map of the Eudora herself. With plush, dark seats in rows and a long table at the head of the room where four members of your senior crew await, it is clear what exactly this space is for, especially as the words TRIAL IN SESSION appear on the monitor and an ominous-looking countdown:

Welcome to your third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about Sidon's and Ashe's murders. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST to 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST, unless you've spoken with the mods previously, as we'll begin tallying votes on the dot. Voting is mandatory for Spacecoast, acting as our weekly activity check in this game.

NPC QUESTIONS

[ Callisto is here, standing away from the table. Their choice is to lean against the wall behind the rest of the senior crew, arms defensively crossed. They drum their fingers against the crook of the elbow, silent... But vigilant. They watch junior crew pass by.

Europa stands off to the side, allowing the other members to be more approachable than themselves. One metallic wing is folded against their back whereas the other is more clearly seen to be pretty damaged. They stare pointedly off, as if ignoring everyone, until someone approaches and their helm turns their way as they cross their arms. The only obvious week effect affecting them seems to be seen in black clinging smoke on their body like that of a bad aura.

Ganymede is seated with Io at the table, their bomber jacket missing for this trial as well. They look like they're astral projecting in, their outline faint in a purple glow. The occasional, starry swirl of galaxies float off of them, before fading off into the void, something they don't pay much mind to as they go down a checklist on their datapad tiredly.

Io is sat beside Ganymede, though they keep glancing over at Europa now and then. They are just writing up preliminary reports of the proceedings, reading over the locations for lockdown while idly rubbing at where their prosthetic joins their leg. Occasionally, the sound of shifting straw comes from their movements, and a piece or two will fall away from the high collar of their jacket, dissipating before it hits the floor.

Please let the mods know in your mod DM if you need to handwave going to get items from a capsule room. Trips for food or breaks need not be requested here or in your mod DM, but can still be handwaved! The NPCs will escort groups for this purpose. ]

A question, might I? How many culprits will we be allowed to vote for? Supposing there's more than one, of course.

[Sora hasn't had much hopes they will be allowed to vote for all killers, so as soon as the trial begins this is what she comes to do: verify if her negative thoughts are accurate or not]

Supposing that there's more than one... [ ganymede sits back in their seat, rubbing at the side of their neck to work out a pain in it. ] You would all have to discuss that as a possibility and coordinate, I think, but we could try to open up the results for the top two votes if it comes to that.

If you're only certain of one culprit, though, just let us know that we're only picking the top result instead.

[ OOCly, you all must decide as a majority to do this with a deadline of an hour before trial. that way we can actually be prepared in the mod backend. ]

[ Sweet sweet Rosamund.... Europa reacts with general impassiveness, not a hint or implication they're uncomfortable or in pain. ]
