Good morning, junior crew. With the heavy news of last night carrying into Saturday morning, things are incredibly quiet around the CSS Eudora. You may carry on with your personal business during the morning, but come 11:00, a soothing voice will cut into the air and announce that at 12:00 everyone must report to "the Conference Hall." Strange, however, that it's not on the map.
Never fear, your I.R.I.S. will automatically project a small beam of warm, orange light on the ground, directing you towards an enormous lift stationed by the mess hall. Come 11:50, if you aren't on the lift, you will certianly find yourself moving there physically whether you intend it or not. The lift is capable of carrying every occupant of the Eudora to a sublevel ramp that leads towards the mentioned Conference Hall.
The enormous hall opens up past two large, double doors with the word EUDORA printed over it. Within, a lengthy monitor sprawls across the entirety of it, displaying Thursday night's victims profiles along with a large map of the Eudora herself. With plush, dark seats in rows and a long table at the head of the room where four members of your senior crew await, it is clear what exactly this space is for, especially as the words TRIAL IN SESSION appear on the monitor and an ominous-looking countdown:

Welcome to your second trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about Viktor's murder. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST to 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST, unless you've spoken with the mods previously, as we'll begin tallying votes on the dot. Voting is mandatory for Spacecoast, acting as our weekly activity check in this game.
Good luck!

he could compare them to some of the older scuffs on his staff if he needs a visual. just like, worn away with time vs newer ]
no subject
would he like to compare them with anything else? ]

can i compare them to his ?? corpse??? HIS BACK THINGY are there similar scuffs there?? ]
no subject
there, he can finally discern the various scuffs and scrapes. it looks like the bashed-inedness/scuffs on these broken screws from evidence are very new by direct comparison to any other wear-and-tear on viktor's plating and unbroken screws still in his back. he can see signs of where these screws used to belong and with them on his lower back, the looks of recent scuffing/damage right there. ]

is there any pattern to it? like (sherlock holmes voice) you are an alcoholic because you missed the phone port kind of stuff or.
are the scuffs/scrapes more scratch like or more "something hit this"? you said bashed in-ness. can he compare the screwdriver in his multitool to them as well just to see if someone like, tried to remove the screws and then couldn't get em off and gave up and just started whackin ]
no subject
no there is no pattern to it. it seems concentrated at the lower back, but that's it.
you got it - it does seem like something could have shmashed these screws. if he checks with the screwdriver in his multitool it doesn't seem like someone was trying to force them out in any way. there are no marks indicative of that by comparison with the multitool. ]

can i compare it with some of the stuff brought back from the cargo bay? the fire extinguisher and the ... the hammer? ???? is there any indentation in the back brace piece that suggests he might have been whacked by something of that size vs like, someone individually taking a hammer to each screw? (ouch)
same q with his crutch. ]

temenos can compare the currently found evidence like the fire extinguisher and the hammer, both from the cargo bay. as he's examining, what he can get out of it is that this particular damage could have been done by any blunt trauma/impact.
re: viktor's crutch, it looks like it's just broken in two. nothing else. ]
