Good morning, junior crew. With the heavy news of last night carrying into Saturday morning, things are incredibly quiet around the CSS Eudora. You may carry on with your personal business during the morning, but come 11:00, a soothing voice will cut into the air and announce that at 12:00 everyone must report to "the Conference Hall." Strange, however, that it's not on the map.
Never fear, your I.R.I.S. will automatically project a small beam of warm, orange light on the ground, directing you towards an enormous lift stationed by the mess hall. Come 11:50, if you aren't on the lift, you will certianly find yourself moving there physically whether you intend it or not. The lift is capable of carrying every occupant of the Eudora to a sublevel ramp that leads towards the mentioned Conference Hall.
The enormous hall opens up past two large, double doors with the word EUDORA printed over it. Within, a lengthy monitor sprawls across the entirety of it, displaying Thursday night's victims profiles along with a large map of the Eudora herself. With plush, dark seats in rows and a long table at the head of the room where four members of your senior crew await, it is clear what exactly this space is for, especially as the words TRIAL IN SESSION appear on the monitor and an ominous-looking countdown:

Welcome to your second trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about Viktor's murder. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST to 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST, unless you've spoken with the mods previously, as we'll begin tallying votes on the dot. Voting is mandatory for Spacecoast, acting as our weekly activity check in this game.
Good luck!

VIKTOR
central to the table, a white sheet has been respectfully drawn across a form. ]
no subject
no subject
though he is very dead. where would she like to start looking first? ]
no subject
anyway. she will start at the head. are his eyes open? lots of blood? none at all because he lost all five liters? what's the general state of his face before i get into specifics.]
no subject
for starters no, his eyes are not open. nothing particularly looks amiss at a glance. he is just a very handsome, very dead guy. his eyes have some serious designer bags beneath them, but nothing seems amiss at a first visual pass. none blood on his face, mouth is slack in death.
he could be sleeping (perhaps uncomfortably) if throné didn't already know better. ]
no subject
okay, she'll check his eyes first, opening them carefully - anything weird or dilated pupils, things like that? she'll also run her fingers through his hair and look for anything in it, pressing at his scalp to see if there's indents or anything amiss.]
no subject
as throné presses into his scalp, running her fingers through his hair, she will notice that there is indeed blood staining the gloves. she presses at his scalp, and will be rewarded (debateable) with finding... a strange indentation... and then a give with her fingers...
there is... a messy hole here, throné. she can feel it. ]
no subject
there's a second where she pulls her hands back and has to turn her head away and zone out. if you listen really closely you can hear the dramatic square enix lore monologue going on in her head. she doesn't gag or anything at least, she's just Unhappy.
and then she goes back to it! where is the hole located on the scalp? how big is it?]
no subject
she may zone out, viktor isn't going anywhere. doo doo doo...
but when she goes back to it... she will find that the hole is located towards the top left of his skull. how is she measuring this hole...? is she comparing it to her fingers? ]
no subject
no subject
with her fingers measuring, she can tell that the area is rather ragged, rough. the skull has been breached, and there might be... some matter oozing out onto the gloves between the cracks in the bone the longer she lingers. it does seem like more of a bludgeoning wound than a stab. ]
no subject
okay, well. she'll examine it closely to make sure she isn't missing anything that is caught in the wound, like metal or rubble or idk, glitter. is the matter brain juice. i'm not a doctor i guess throné isn't either so she wouldn't necessarily know that's what it is other than like oh. his brain is leaking.
okay, she'll check his ears and neck - no blood coming out his ears, marks on his neck? what about in his mouth?]
no subject
there is nothing caught in the wound, it's just a juicy skull wound with some smashed edges of skull bone and brain matter leaking out around the edges and onto her gloves.
checking his ears, she will find that they are ear-ily... fine. they're normal. no blood coming out of them.
as for his neck, she will find what looks to be some kind of older healed over rune on the left side. on the right side... there is a mark that doesn't look as old.
in his mouth... he just has some nice chompers (probably) and a tongue and they look normal for a dead guy. ]
no subject
stop punning at me i'm going to flip a table - what's the mark on the right side? slash mark, bite mark. hickey. SHARK TEETH?]

does any part of it - the head, the back of it that gets used to remove nails, or the handle - match any of viktor's injuries? she's especially suspicious of the nail-removal part and viktor's head injury, but checking all of them just to be safe.]
no subject
checking his hand, there are no signs of bruises because it's purple, but a hammer could have done this.
checking his leg, sheba will find the closely clustered wounds. if she checks all the parts of the hammer, she will find that while the nail-removal end matches the back of the these wounds. ]
no subject
and for the last line, it says "while the nail-removal end matches the back of these wounds" and then cuts off - is there something else about the front that dw ate or was the "while" a typo?]
no subject
and here you go: "she will find the nail-removal end matches the back of these wounds." ]

other cargo bay items
he'll compare all parts of the cane--top, bottom, the middle rod portion and the broken ends--against viktor's various injuries, including the gouges, head injury, and his screws. WAIT ALSO HIS BUSTED HAND i forgot. he'll compare the fire extinguisher to the same injuries. anything that looks like a match? ]
no subject
something that can cause blunt damage could have caused the injuries to his back, so theoretically the fire extinguisher could possibly be a match. something smaller did the damage to his busted hand and back of his leg though. ]
weapons check
will start with just his back injury since it's 8pm ]
no subject
it looks like a blunt object did the damage to the back injury. the following items from the list of items you've given us could have done this:
- shoma's 8 ball
- sidon's prosthetic if he were to use it like a bat
- bradley's rifle if used as a blunt weapon
- lovelace gun if used as blunt weapon
- rodya's axe if she swung the blunt side ]
