Good morning, junior crew. With the heavy news of last night carrying into Saturday morning, things are incredibly quiet around the CSS Eudora. You may carry on with your personal business during the morning, but come 11:00, a soothing voice will cut into the air and announce that at 12:00 everyone must report to "the Conference Hall." Strange, however, that it's not on the map.
Never fear, your I.R.I.S. will automatically project a small beam of warm, orange light on the ground, directing you towards an enormous lift stationed by the mess hall. Come 11:50, if you aren't on the lift, you will certianly find yourself moving there physically whether you intend it or not. The lift is capable of carrying every occupant of the Eudora to a sublevel ramp that leads towards the mentioned Conference Hall.
The enormous hall opens up past two large, double doors with the word EUDORA printed over it. Within, a lengthy monitor sprawls across the entirety of it, displaying Thursday night's victims profiles along with a large map of the Eudora herself. With plush, dark seats in rows and a long table at the head of the room where four members of your senior crew await, it is clear what exactly this space is for, especially as the words TRIAL IN SESSION appear on the monitor and an ominous-looking countdown:

Welcome to your second trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about Viktor's murder. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST to 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST, unless you've spoken with the mods previously, as we'll begin tallying votes on the dot. Voting is mandatory for Spacecoast, acting as our weekly activity check in this game.
Good luck!

it looks like there is a book in that pocket, entitled d*rk l*ver.
the hand would look the same as she remembers. except for the fact that it looks as though it's really been through it (even moreso). the fingers are at different angles, it looks like it's been crushed even.
as she's removing the brace, she can tell there is something Wrong with the back. there are some broken, metal pieces coming off of it.
when she flips him over like a twinky lil pancake, she'll see that there are some screws in his lower back. the source of the jengling seems to be coming from some pieces of metal that have been broken off of said screws. they scatter a bit from the movement, but at collectible if she wishes. ]
no subject
this is stupid but she actually does get kind of upset over seeing the book. she will take it out and put it off to the side for now but she is having a second of misty eyes for. reasons.
christ. okay - which hand was this, right hand? does it look like his hand got like... ran over? or stepped on, or more like individually broken. is it just his hand or his arm too? bloody?
she goes ?? at the screws, but she'll try to collect them and put them in a safe spot for looking. are the screws like... supposed to be there? like does he have a plate on his back attached to him or is this like random pieces of metal that are embedded in his back?]
no subject
throné makes me the saddest... the right hand is the one that's been crushed yes. it's too difficult to tell if it's been run over/stepped on/individually broken. it looks like it's just been (safiya nygaard voice) shmashed, i'm sorry. the bones in his hand are broken, and it's a little bloody, but it's not Too bloody.
she can collect the loose jingling metal pieces and put them safely away yes. it does indeed look like they're supposed to be there, like they're part of him, screwed into a plate (have an image) which is indeed attached to his back. ]
no subject
she's going to check to see if the metal plate comes off at all, but if it doesn't she's going to investigate his legs. i'm sorry she takes his pants off, she has to make sure. anything on his legs? feet?]
no subject
the plates look mostly undamaged except where some of the screws have been broken a bit it seems (their edges are chipped at and there's some minor scuffing around their respective plates.) mostly at his lower back.
the metal plates don't come off, they're screwed in, so no budging there.
she may take off his pants to investigate his legs. the first thing she'll notice as she takes them off is that there is blood rather high up on the right leg of the trousers. she'll also notice because she's at his legs/feet, that there is also some blood on the heel of one of his shoes.
no subject
how high up is the blood? like, thigh, middle of his calf... i assume there's a wound on his right leg that matches the trouser blood?
which shoe has blood on it? does it have any powder or anything on it? anything in his pants or shoes?]
no subject
the right shoe has blood on the heel, a sprankle of it. no powder other blood or anything on his pants or shoes. ]
no subject
she'll shake out his clothes to see if he's got any belongings there.]
no subject
she shakes his clothes like a polaroid picture and nothing comes out. she's found all she can in his clothes. ]
no subject
smaller wounds? like... describe this to me, does it look like a couple of scratches, or more like puncture wounds, or like something hit it really hard/bludgeoned it? how far are they spaced apart?
also his crutch isn't here right]
no subject
the wounds on his leg look kind of like gouges, but messy, about three of them. it looks like they are clustered together without much space between them, as though concentrated in this area. ]
no subject
also mods my crutch question ;n;]
no subject
but no, these wounds were not done by fingers should she compare with her own. they aren't quite right. and there is no blood underneath viktor's fingernails. the right hand only has a little blood on it, but it seems like that might be because it's broken.
no subject
she very gently closes his eyes again, takes the gloves off, and tucks his hair behind his ear before going off to announce her results.]
