Good morning, junior crew. With the heavy news of last night carrying into Saturday morning, things are incredibly quiet around the CSS Eudora. You may carry on with your personal business during the morning, but come 11:00, a soothing voice will cut into the air and announce that at 12:00 everyone must report to "the Conference Hall." Strange, however, that it's not on the map.
Never fear, your I.R.I.S. will automatically project a small beam of warm, orange light on the ground, directing you towards an enormous lift stationed by the mess hall. Come 11:50, if you aren't on the lift, you will certianly find yourself moving there physically whether you intend it or not. The lift is capable of carrying every occupant of the Eudora to a sublevel ramp that leads towards the mentioned Conference Hall.
The enormous hall opens up past two large, double doors with the word EUDORA printed over it. Within, a lengthy monitor sprawls across the entirety of it, displaying Thursday night's victims profiles along with a large map of the Eudora herself. With plush, dark seats in rows and a long table at the head of the room where four members of your senior crew await, it is clear what exactly this space is for, especially as the words TRIAL IN SESSION appear on the monitor and an ominous-looking countdown:

Welcome to your second trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about Viktor's murder. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST to 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST, unless you've spoken with the mods previously, as we'll begin tallying votes on the dot. Voting is mandatory for Spacecoast, acting as our weekly activity check in this game.
Good luck!

So we have to vote for someone again?
no subject
Yeah. After all the investigation's been done and we've all had time to go over it, we will have to vote.

[ reaching a hand out to cat... pspsps ]

We're the only ones here, so... [ unfortunately. ]

[ a gentle pet for son... ]

You have to choose an option, unfortunately, just the way the kiosk was made, I think. Which sucks...
[ currently thebe is like. also flanked by two yeens and a space wolf..... this is really just a menagerie. they're just gently patting kosmo and feeding him some cheese. ] Just vote for me, Anise, I think that's okay...

It's an option... isn't it? Only fair to give it.

[ A gentle scolding tone. ]
I do agree it is a fair option, but they can very well vote for any one of us. [ Well. ] I would not mind spending a night in the brig if it comes down to it. Better that than at my desk again.
no subject
You do not need the brig. You need the medbay to open up again so you can get your arm checked out...
no subject
If they want to vote for one of us, they can vote for me. I was already planning on staying in there overnight anyways.

Hey, can you all maybe not do some stupid self-sacrificing bullshit?

After your excursion? Adrastea, you ought to let us ease some of your burdens.

We were all planning on being there overnight, so it'll be a... shitty party.
Don't let Io hear you say that considering what happened when you came back.

And it will be taken care of in time. It can wait. So--
[ Oh hi Adrastea. ]

[ you can't go to jail, you have a son to look after. and also everyone else's sons. ]
no subject
I'm just trying to be fair about it. 'Specially when none of this is fair to begin with...
[ they do have a son.... ]

[ looks at everyone chiming in, wow. the drama! ]
... Um, oh! I also wanted to ask... if it's possible to take knives from the galley, would we expect the galley to be one of the locked-down rooms, since that kind of makes it a crime scene? Or is there a chance it might get overlooked, since it's just like, one little thing missing from it...
no subject
We've already done our preliminary sweep of the ship and the galley checked out just fine, so no. We've done a little bit of the location whittling down for you and it's limited to these three areas.
[ this is why we are busy on fridays most of the time u_u... ]
If you do find a knife that you think belongs to the galley on any of the investigations today, you can bring it to us and we can open it up.
