Good morning, junior crew. With the heavy news of last night carrying into Saturday morning, things are incredibly quiet around the CSS Eudora. You may carry on with your personal business during the morning, but come 11:00, a soothing voice will cut into the air and announce that at 12:00 everyone must report to "the Conference Hall." Strange, however, that it's not on the map.
Never fear, your I.R.I.S. will automatically project a small beam of warm, orange light on the ground, directing you towards an enormous lift stationed by the mess hall. Come 11:50, if you aren't on the lift, you will certianly find yourself moving there physically whether you intend it or not. The lift is capable of carrying every occupant of the Eudora to a sublevel ramp that leads towards the mentioned Conference Hall.
The enormous hall opens up past two large, double doors with the word EUDORA printed over it. Within, a lengthy monitor sprawls across the entirety of it, displaying Thursday night's victims profiles along with a large map of the Eudora herself. With plush, dark seats in rows and a long table at the head of the room where four members of your senior crew await, it is clear what exactly this space is for, especially as the words TRIAL IN SESSION appear on the monitor and an ominous-looking countdown:

Welcome to your second trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about Viktor's murder. Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST to 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST, unless you've spoken with the mods previously, as we'll begin tallying votes on the dot. Voting is mandatory for Spacecoast, acting as our weekly activity check in this game.
Good luck!

Io-san helped you, right?
[ thebe and kitty also get a wave ]
no subject
Take some of Amalthea's tea throughout the day, for your throat.
no subject
[ your glow... ]
I will. I was going to get it healed better yesterday, but.
[ SOMEBODY had to go and fuck up the medbay ]
no subject
[ they tap the side of their helmet, but. then they lower their hand and offer it to him. ]
Yeah, we're not too thrilled with that, either. But if you need any bandages or pain meds, we managed to gather things up before it was locked down.
no subject
[ what the fuck. ]
I took some pain meds before coming. [ gazes at temenos who absolutely should have done the same thing. ] But I'll ask if they wear off later.
no subject
[ so. you know. ]
Good. If any of you need anything during the proceedings, one of us can get it for you or escort a group up to the mess hall. With the galley open this time we can get something together that's not actually terrible.
no subject
[ waking up to that is probably just as bad as watching a man die before you pass out ]
That's probably better than whatever's going on in the food court, huh... Thanks, Adrastea-san.
...Son really has to sit through this, too?
no subject
[ they're equipped for it, compared to other people. ]
Honestly, it's not that dangerous. Just aggressive - hostile's not an inappropriate description, though. [ very carefully pats him on the shoulder. ]
The other four are spread out in the rest of the ship, so there's no one to keep him company while Thebe works. He'll stick around here at the table with us and the zoo we're collecting.
no subject
And it's not something you can just shut down or throw in the brig?
[ look, he doesn't even wince! he's being so brave. ]
Ah. [ he looks like he wants to offer son pets, but his handsies... oh well. later, maybe. ] There really are a ton of animals around for this.
no subject
but then shake their head. ] No, we'll have to do that on investigation. We wanted to maintain the scene as it was with the cryofreeze lockdown, and we can't go into a location while it's in that mode.
[ he is so very brave, they are so proud. ]
There are. Not exactly what we expected. Maybe we'll have to see about getting a pet store kiosk installed... at least OmegaMart has supplies.
no subject
Better than nothing.
no subject
[ since we've revealed it in invest, it's fine to say so now. ]
We weren't exactly prepared for the number of pets, especially with the redemption vouchers that went out yesterday.
no subject
[ his voice was already weak, but it still softens a little. ]
...Thanks for that, by the way.
no subject
[ their shoulders... relax a little. ]
You guys did a good job this week, with the delivery. Wasn't us that chose it, but I'm glad that was the reward for good service, honestly.
no subject
[ don't just volunteer the child ]
I still don't care about doing the work. But that was worth it. [ looks down at the floor. ] Especially after Thursday.
