WEEK 6: MINGLE

WEEK 6     30 CREW ACTIVE
I am the shore and the ocean, awaiting myself on both sides.

WELCOME TO ACQUADA

With the heavy mood of the previous week still hanging over the CSS Eudora, it might be difficult to move on with business as usual, and that's okay. Loss is a completely natural part of life, and grief is always close behind. Focus and peace might be hard to find. Especially when some of you might feel a familiar buzz or hum under your skin, in your hearts, at your fingertips. There, but out of reach. You'll start feeling more like yourselves. However, a few hours into a routine morning aboard the Eudora, a gentle tone fills the air, reverberating off of the walls of the Eudora herself. A synthetic voice fills the halls not long after: Entering planet atmosphere, gravity tethers engaging. Stabilizing descension rate. Stabilizing... stabilization complete.

Your sixth dropoff is looking a little wet—hope you packed your water wingies. On the horizon, Planet Acquada rises. The observation deck allows everyone to watch as the Eudora cuts through the thin clouds and reveals a planet rippling with choppy ocean waves. In the center, a sprawling metal island with a heavily-forested pinnacle greets the Eudora, as lights flash from below, heralding the ship's landing.

A message from the address seniorcrew@eudora.net pings you in the middle of whatever it is you happen to be doing at 1200 hours. If you're still somehow sleeping, that ping is definitely loud enough to cut through your sweetest dreams and to rouse you from sleep. There is no way to reply to it, so suffer as it opens itself up and reads:
ATTENTION JUNIOR CREW!
Good morning, Junior Crew. If you think I have an answer for this particular affliction, I don't. Just try not to make a mess around the ship and PLEASE pick up after yourselves. If you need bags to contain all of your "excitement" they're in a box just outside the medbay. - Senior Crew
Following the ping is a notification coming from your I.R.I.S. indicating that there are a few new locations that have unlocked aboard the CSS Eudora and the enrichment concourse. If you have any questions or concerns, you'll find that your Senior Crew is available to take your meeting requests. Their callsigns are lit up at the bottom of your contacts list so text away.

With a new week, comes a new change of scenery. Characters will find a few supplies already in their locker to help in navigating the planet itself:

⚙️ Standard-issue delivery uniform (version: cool/cold)
⚙️ Breather suits and masks that integrate with your I.R.I.S. while you are swimming
⚙️ Warm clothing (two changes including two very warm sweaters)
⚙️ One hooded and waterproofed jacket and water-proof boots fitted up to the knee
⚙️ Flashlight that clips to your shoulder or belt
Hello, Junior Crew, and welcome to your week 6 mingle! Here are a few things to get you started:

⚠️ Upon waking this week, the crew of the Eudora may find themselves feeling a constantly uncomfortable choked up sensation in their chests. Drinking doesn't help, and clearing your throat hardly works either. Before you know it, you might just find yourself coughing up a handful of flowers. The type of flowers may vary but they also might come in different colors as well, all representing your hidden feelings. Welcome to everyone's favorite disease of repressed emotions—it's hanahaki week.

🪐 Pick up some supplies. Head on over to Scrap's Surplus Store or visit Omega Mart for a fun little freebie.
🪐 Audiences are open. Please submit all audience requests for the week under the proper header here.
🪐 The HER-MES System is online. Send a message out into deep space here.
🪐 Murder proposals are closed. Stay tuned for further instructions.
🪐 Don't forget your CYOAs. Please head over to Missions to sign up for Ship Exploration or a planet-based Mini-CYOA.
🪐 Please turn in your PCs for the week. Submit your links under the proper header here.
