THE CSS EUDORA

Good morning, Junior Crew, and welcome to your very first full week aboard the CSS Eudora. This week will be devoted entirely to your mandatory employee orientation. You will be shown the ins and outs of how everything works aboard the Eudora, and by the end of this week, your employers at Nut & Bolt Co. hope that you will truly understand the meaning of "teamwork makes the dream work."

The CSS Eudora herself is a sprawling ship, though it seems that the bulk of it has been locked off from you for the time being. It's halls are warmly lit and welcoming, however, and the general atmosphere is about as cozy as you can get when in space. Your I.R.I.S. will provide you with a small beam of warm, orange light on the ground that will lead you to any accessible location indicated on the map that you wish, preventing you from getting too lost.

A message from the address seniorcrew@eudora.net pings you in the middle of whatever it is you happen to be doing at 1200 hours. If you're sleeping, that ping is definitely loud enough to cut through your sweetest dreams and to rouse you from sleep. There is no way to reply to it or shut it down until the message is through delivering itself, so suffer as it opens its own program up and reads:

As your bodies begin to acclimatize to the Eudora's nanites (full of numerous benefits such as accelerated healing and the preservation of bone mass), please take care to monitor your emotional output with one another. We have found that within the first week of nanite integration, there have been issues with heighted awareness and intense emotional and physical feedback between crewmembers that share these nanites. - Senior Crew

Following the ping is a notification coming from your I.R.I.S. reminding you about the locations that have already been opened up aboard the CSS Eudora and the enrichment concourse on Saturday. Perhaps there are some things you would like to explore aboard your new home for the next eight weeks? And if you have any questions or concerns, you'll find that your Senior Crew is available to take your meeting requests. Their callsigns are lit up at the bottom of your contacts list so text away.

⚠️ Upon waking this week, the crew of the Eudora will find that they are not so alone with their thoughts, feelings, and even flickerings of physical sensation. Like a strange, mind meld soup, you and those around you will be privy to each other’s... everything. You may play this one-to-one or in a group, you are all tethered in some way or another. How intense this effect is up to player discretion.

MONDAY

Much like the weekend, there is now a decent array of Actually Seasoned food in the mess hall available to anyone who might not be able to cook for themselves! Not only is it freshly made, but it's also pretty good! Awfully nice of somebody to do. Food will be available all week.
There's now a collection of desserts added to the meals in the mess hall. They will be freshly made for dinner throughout the week.

TUESDAY

From the hours of midnight to 3 AM, the Titan's Call bar is cordoned off with signs warning that the area is being cleaned. Cleaning drones of various sizes and functions can be seen bustling around for these three hours before they mechanically pick up their signs and barriers and roll off into the wee hours of the morning until their services are needed again. The bar looks like nothing has happened, but smells pleasantly clean.
During this time, and into the early morning hours until they're either tossed out or taken, there's a surplus of alcoholic drinks in the mess hall from the bar.
From Tuesday morning and onward, there will be a fresh assortment of French pastries both sweet and savory around breakfasting hours!

FRIDAY

There are no fresh, French pastries, neither sweet nor savory, around this morning.
While there were no pastries to be found in the morning, by the afternoon, there is a small selection available in the mess hall. They look like croissants ... mostly. Perhaps you can call them crassants instead.

SATURDAY

After 2-3 hours, the Galley, Sim Room 1, and Sim Room 2 are open again, clean as a whistle.
