WEEK 7: FAREWELL!

GOLDEN END     47 CREW ACTIVE
The remnants of stellar alchemy, stirring into life.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE

Welcome to the CSS Eudora… your tour is over, and the rest of your journey is set to begin. As you awaken, you will notice that there is a lulling sense of peace aboard the ship, and the world around you is silent save for the soft humming of the generators and propulsion system, the air circulating in gentle puffs from the ventilation (cool, a refreshing change from the past seven weeks). As you rise, you will notice that the Eudora has changed around you.

And it has changed for the better.

The halls are well-lit and clean, the lights no longer flickering or are on the verge of dim. The Eudora has taken on a warm, welcoming glow like a candle’s flame illuminating the dark. Nothing will force you anywhere today - and the Eudora's warm voice will greet you by name today, ask you how are you are feeling today, with every cup of coffee or tea, with every need gently perceived. She's returned to her old self, her voice is brighter, warmer, and she revels in once more having a full crew.

A notification coming from your I.R.I.S. indicates that, in having cleaned up the ship, freeing her from infection, some locations have been replaced with a new ones, as if the Eudora herself had a feeling that you might be needing this. The tour is all completed, now, and this has become your central hub for the worlds available to you. The Eudora knows just as well as you do that it’s time to go home, after all, which is why there's an encouraging warmly-lit path on the ground, and a directional indicator on your I.R.I.S. to show you the way towards this new location.

The endgame world-hopping mechanism! At the very end, upon achieving Golden End, players will be called to one room on board the revived Eudora (after her baptism by fire via explosion), replacing the eerie Meat Locker and Machine on the concourse. This room is enormous with screens around the entirety in 360 degrees. Various views of worlds flicker in and out, some very familiar, and others not so much. The console in the center controls several teleportation pads that are inter-dimensional and reach far and wide thanks to the Eudora's rebirth. All one needs to do is program the desired location into the console and step into the corresponding transportation pad.

All character return times are currently paused at the moment of your characters' canon points, and can be rewound by 10 minutes max. They will remain paused at this time, even if you go worldhopping elsewhere first - you need only return to the Eudora to access it! If you would rather go to another world, you're permitted to do so. If you would rather go with a castmate to a different time point (since theirs will show as different from yours!), you can do this instead. (Whether you replace that version of yourself or there are now two of you is up to you and your PSL gods.)

As members of the Junior Crew of the Eudora, while your nanites have largely worn off, the Eudora will always remember you. You will find that your I.R.I.S. still functions, with but a flick of the wrist. No matter where you are, you can now cross-dimension, cross-galactic communicate with one another. And play your various games.

There's also an app labeled Lyft Off, which will allow you to be beamed up to the Eudora at any time from wherever you are in whichever galaxy you're activating it from at the time. Feel free to make the Eudora a central hub for constant travel, and utilize her resources as desired - the food, the clothes, the equipment and library for research... it's all available for you, for as long as you need it!

Hello, Junior Crew, and welcome to your hard-earned Golden End. Here are a few things to close you out:

🪐 Characters will be compensated greatly by Nut & Bolt Co. with the original stipend dictated on your "contracts." You will find that the exorbitent sum of the pay, including emotional damages and reparations has been transferred to an easy-to-carry card that will transform into your world's currency once you are home. You can utilize your I.R.I.S. to treat it as a bank of sorts and easily remove or just carry your cash on that card (so you can utilize it in other worlds!)

🪐 You may also find an app on your I.R.I.S. entitled Thank You. You get the distinct feeling that this is from your ghostly friends who'd been trapped in the Helly Belly all this time, the old crew of the Eudora bidding you farewell, and the spirits of those you freed in destroying the planet. Characters will know intrinsically that this will allow them to be granted one wish of their choosing, however they cannot trade this wish away and can only utilize it for themselves. This wish also cannot affect anyone else on board the Eudora, nor can it be catastrophically destructive. It must be used for personal means.

🪐 Characters are free to return to their original worlds, or they may go to another world of their choosing, or you can choose to stay aboard the Eudora, we won't stop you, and she's fully equipped to sustain herself for a long, long... long, long time.
🪐 You are free to keep your I.R.I.S. and all the apps that come with that in order to remain in contact with one another.
🪐 World-hopping is always an option here thanks to the new teleportation room, so if you're ever missing a friend, why not hop on over to say hello?
🪐 Audiences are open for one more day if you have anything else you'd like from your Senior Crew.
🪐 Your PC directory is located over here.
🪐 Your final CR chart is here.
🪐 We have a feedback post here, TL;CR post here and a friending/love meme here.

Thank you so much, everyone, for playing in our little game! We hope you all had fun, and we look forward to hanging out in the server with you until next time! See ya later, space cowboys.

BEAM ME UP

Why don't you set a deadline for yourself, then? If you wait too long, you're just going to end up thinking yourself into circles and finding equal reasons for and against all of your potential choices.

[Don't let the spiral consume you...]
solesuccess: (I'll be the watcher)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-04-24 07:13 am (UTC)(link)
[ the problem is dahut's right and he hates that he's right, but this has been on par for the entirety of their friendship, so. ]

You really have to start being more delicate with your call-out posts. [ dry. but he doesn't mean it in the slightest because yeah, he is prone to going in circles when it's a big problem. ] ...a week, maybe, at most. I would say a week can't drastically change things but that's actually a huge lie. But with how things are now, they can't change anything too much more drastically.
artificialsweetener: (powdered with ashes)

[personal profile] artificialsweetener 2024-04-24 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
[BUMPING INTO HIS SIDE hehehe. A lil green bean being so right is just infuriating ain't it...]

I'd say that's a pretty good window! Just enough time to sit on it a bit without reeeally stewing. I'll text you a reminder at the week's end if you need a little extra push, even.

[His tone is mostly joking, though.]
solesuccess: (Code it)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-04-26 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Well that is one way to guarantee I'll hear from you really soon. Maybe I should actually do it and hold you accountable. [ this is maybe not a joke, actually. ]
artificialsweetener: (oya)

[personal profile] artificialsweetener 2024-04-27 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Wow! Do you really think I'd pull a Monsieur Luke on you?

[DON'T HIT LUKE WITH A BAT HE'S NOT EVEN HERE.]
solesuccess: (Is when it's tested again and again)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-04-29 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, you never know. How can I be sure without regular check-ins?
artificialsweetener: (the greatest thing)

[personal profile] artificialsweetener 2024-04-29 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
Aha, well! Who am I to begrudge you some regular check-ins? Pencil me in, then! I'll give a nice, punctual call to make sure you aren't agonizing over your answer longer than your allotted time. Deal?
solesuccess: (Im just a kid)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-04-30 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
[ joke's on dahut, he will literally see shoma writing this down in real time and underlining it as if to make a point to him specifically. ]

Sounds like a deal to me.
artificialsweetener: (they'll never die)

[personal profile] artificialsweetener 2024-04-30 07:43 am (UTC)(link)
[FUCKING HELP. Well. He is trapped now.]

Mmm, consider it done, then! Consider it done. [Reaching over to fondly and lightly tousle his hair rather than aggressively ruffle it.]
solesuccess: (Im just a kid)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-05-01 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[ yeah suffer bitch. anyway the hair-tousling really just gets him to kind of laugh under his breath as he finishes his notes. ]

Good. Then that's one more thing off my list for now.
artificialsweetener: (you'll ever learn)

[personal profile] artificialsweetener 2024-05-02 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
[DON'T JUST SAY SUFFER listen here you little shit.

No, he seems more or less fine with this... Texting is okay. Texting he can manage! Just as long as no one enters the cursed lands of his fake France, all will be well.]

And quite a few more left to go, I'd imagine. You're going to be busy for some time! Don't let my chattering take up too much of it, okay?
solesuccess: (Tonight)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-05-03 09:18 am (UTC)(link)
[ dahut please. your france. ]

I think you're forgetting that I will always make time for your chattering no matter how busy I am...even if I am definitely going to always have a long list to get through. But I get it.
artificialsweetener: (and told you to wonder)

[personal profile] artificialsweetener 2024-05-04 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
[HIS FUCKING FRANCE.]

Aww, Shoma! You're going to spoil me. [Imagine having other workaholic friends who still make time to text you... UNTHUNKABLE.] O-kay! You can't complain when I chatter your digital ear off, then!
solesuccess: (I'm just a kid)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-05-04 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I mean I can, but you wouldn't care anyway. [ the way he says this with such a straight face because he knows dahut will understand what he actually means is "you will know my complaining is false anyway and it's all for show." ] Maybe you deserve a little spoiling after all of this. Just a little.

[ also a joke but you know. ]
artificialsweetener: (and called it acquired)

[personal profile] artificialsweetener 2024-05-05 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[HE DOES UNDERSTAND, UNFORTUNATELY. He loves this lil guy and all his stupid for-show complaints.]

Mm, well, you're right about that! Who would I be if I let a little complaining stop me? [NOT DAHUT. He'll move to stand again after that, though, reaching down to ruffle Shoma's hair one last time.]

I think that probably goes for both of us, so rest up a bit once you can, okay? [And then, curiously:] How long are you planning on sticking around here?
solesuccess: (And the world is having more fun than me)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-05-07 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
You'd be someone I'd like a lot less, I think. [ he just says this but he allows the ruffle and for dahut to stand. ]

I will, I will. I'm only staying until Mizuki's ready to leave and after I've seen everyone I want to see. So probably not that much longer.
artificialsweetener: (the greatest thing)

[personal profile] artificialsweetener 2024-05-08 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Lucky for me that that's not the case, then!

[HE KEEPS HIS SHOMA FAVORITISM!!! That's his. There's a lil nod at that, though. He shifts his weight from one foot to the other, a little reluctant to part ways even knowing they all have shit to do and still have this hub to meet up in.]

I should head off, myself... Busy schedules and all that! Don't be a stranger, okay?
solesuccess: (I'm just a kid)

[personal profile] solesuccess 2024-05-09 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
[ likewise he'd like to keep dahut here longer, but they really should get going. both of them. so there's a quick little nod. ]

I won't be. This isn't the last time we'll see each other.
