WEEK 7: FAREWELL!
GOLDEN END 47 CREW ACTIVE
The remnants of stellar alchemy, stirring into life.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
Welcome to the CSS Eudora… your tour is over, and the rest of your journey is set to begin. As you awaken, you will notice that there is a lulling sense of peace aboard the ship, and the world around you is silent save for the soft humming of the generators and propulsion system, the air circulating in gentle puffs from the ventilation (cool, a refreshing change from the past seven weeks). As you rise, you will notice that the Eudora has changed around you.
And it has changed for the better.
The halls are well-lit and clean, the lights no longer flickering or are on the verge of dim. The Eudora has taken on a warm, welcoming glow like a candle’s flame illuminating the dark. Nothing will force you anywhere today - and the Eudora's warm voice will greet you by name today, ask you how are you are feeling today, with every cup of coffee or tea, with every need gently perceived. She's returned to her old self, her voice is brighter, warmer, and she revels in once more having a full crew.
A notification coming from your I.R.I.S. indicates that, in having cleaned up the ship, freeing her from infection, some locations have been replaced with a new ones, as if the Eudora herself had a feeling that you might be needing this. The tour is all completed, now, and this has become your central hub for the worlds available to you. The Eudora knows just as well as you do that it’s time to go home, after all, which is why there's an encouraging warmly-lit path on the ground, and a directional indicator on your I.R.I.S. to show you the way towards this new location.

The endgame world-hopping mechanism! At the very end, upon achieving Golden End, players will be called to one room on board the revived Eudora (after her baptism by fire via explosion), replacing the eerie Meat Locker and Machine on the concourse. This room is enormous with screens around the entirety in 360 degrees. Various views of worlds flicker in and out, some very familiar, and others not so much. The console in the center controls several teleportation pads that are inter-dimensional and reach far and wide thanks to the Eudora's rebirth. All one needs to do is program the desired location into the console and step into the corresponding transportation pad.
All character return times are currently paused at the moment of your characters' canon points, and can be rewound by 10 minutes max. They will remain paused at this time, even if you go worldhopping elsewhere first - you need only return to the Eudora to access it! If you would rather go to another world, you're permitted to do so. If you would rather go with a castmate to a different time point (since theirs will show as different from yours!), you can do this instead. (Whether you replace that version of yourself or there are now two of you is up to you and your PSL gods.)
As members of the Junior Crew of the Eudora, while your nanites have largely worn off, the Eudora will always remember you. You will find that your I.R.I.S. still functions, with but a flick of the wrist. No matter where you are, you can now cross-dimension, cross-galactic communicate with one another. And play your various games.
There's also an app labeled Lyft Off, which will allow you to be beamed up to the Eudora at any time from wherever you are in whichever galaxy you're activating it from at the time. Feel free to make the Eudora a central hub for constant travel, and utilize her resources as desired - the food, the clothes, the equipment and library for research... it's all available for you, for as long as you need it!

Hello, Junior Crew, and welcome to your hard-earned Golden End. Here are a few things to close you out:
🪐 Characters will be compensated greatly by Nut & Bolt Co. with the original stipend dictated on your "contracts." You will find that the exorbitent sum of the pay, including emotional damages and reparations has been transferred to an easy-to-carry card that will transform into your world's currency once you are home. You can utilize your I.R.I.S. to treat it as a bank of sorts and easily remove or just carry your cash on that card (so you can utilize it in other worlds!)
🪐 You may also find an app on your I.R.I.S. entitled Thank You. You get the distinct feeling that this is from your ghostly friends who'd been trapped in the Helly Belly all this time, the old crew of the Eudora bidding you farewell, and the spirits of those you freed in destroying the planet. Characters will know intrinsically that this will allow them to be granted one wish of their choosing, however they cannot trade this wish away and can only utilize it for themselves. This wish also cannot affect anyone else on board the Eudora, nor can it be catastrophically destructive. It must be used for personal means.
🪐 Characters are free to return to their original worlds, or they may go to another world of their choosing, or you can choose to stay aboard the Eudora, we won't stop you, and she's fully equipped to sustain herself for a long, long... long, long time.
🪐 You are free to keep your I.R.I.S. and all the apps that come with that in order to remain in contact with one another.
🪐 World-hopping is always an option here thanks to the new teleportation room, so if you're ever missing a friend, why not hop on over to say hello?
🪐 Audiences are open for one more day if you have anything else you'd like from your Senior Crew.
🪐 Your PC directory is located over here.
🪐 Your final CR chart is here.
🪐 We have a feedback post here, TL;CR post here and a friending/love meme here.
Thank you so much, everyone, for playing in our little game! We hope you all had fun, and we look forward to hanging out in the server with you until next time! See ya later, space cowboys.

BEAM ME UP
no subject
I could. I mean maybe not me, but...a lot of it is waiting. [ ... ] We don't know her sentence yet, or how long she might be gone. So I was thinking I could use it to absolve her from what happened. But then it'd be about figuring out what to do next. I have people who will help me with my research to figure out how to fix me, but I think there's good and bad in both decisions.
no subject
Time is funny like that. Making you wait after punishing you for it.
[THEY HATE TIME. It's too long, it's too short. It's too unknowable.]
Alright. Say you go through with it. She's absolved. Do you know where to begin after in the next part?
no subject
You ever think about how you don't get to own time and how it owns you instead? [ dry. TIME SUCKS. ]
...Scien said he would help me with my research. And I'm going to search through my own memories to figure out if there's anything I can remember from the time before. There has to be something about the method that I can remember and use.
no subject
AAAAA not coming back to how awful time is, that's the truth.]
All the time.
[You think his ass isn't thinking about how he is time's little stupid bitch at every point in his life? Maybe now he can sort of break through that restraint. Maybe.]
Then if you give your wish to her, I think you'll be just fine, Shoma.
no subject
But the good thing is you just bought yourself some more. [ ...well. he's going to come back to that in a sec, he'll address the amame thing first. ] I think I will, too. Some people think I should use the wish on myself to change me, and it's a compelling argument? If I fixed myself, I might stand a better shot at fixing the rest of my life. But...I have other resources, too. And I can't help thinking how it may not matter if I fix myself and she's still not home with me.
[ so that's the decision he has to face. and speaking of home, now he returns to his other thought. ]
...what are you going to do now? [ he remembers what viktor said about home and, uh, he's kind of concerned about what he'd be walking into. ]
no subject
[Not very ethical or sane.]
Aside from... the help others offered me, I mean. But unlike you, I did not really have anything else for my wish outside of helping Lucien.
[Speaking of Lucien Tavelle.]
I don't really have any ties back home--Jayce has all our research, he would be fine--so... I left it up to Lucien. He wants to travel wherever he can. You know how he is, he can't stay still. I'll go with him, and we'll see everything we can in the time we have.
I might go back. Home, I mean. Try to figure out what I can do in, um, ten minute's time.
no subject
I know. I remember we talked a little about this, and...I won't lie and say I'm not happy there was an alternative. [ considering. ] You're brilliant, obviously everything else you might need to fix you can fix yourself.
[ he does seem curious at the mention of lucien though because yes, he'd been wondering. ]
I got that impression from the minute we met. [ vaguely fondly. ] But I think that's good for both of you. He needs someone like you, and I think he's been good for you, too. Just from an outsider's perspective. [ hah. ] ...knowing what we know, you won't have to rush it at least. You can take all the time you want, and...even if you do decide not to it's like you said. Jayce has everything. I think it's about what will make you happiest.
no subject
I'll probably go back sooner or later. To make sure Jayce and the council are okay. I think Lucien wanted to see Piltover and Zaun, too.
[He glances up.]
I would love to see you again, too, Shoma. Or have you come see us. I'm sure Throné isn't going to let you escape so easily either.
If you want, of course. I'd also love to help you work, though I'm sure Scien can help you with your predicament a bit more than I can.
no subject
As long as it's what you actually want and not because you think you have to. [ he knows viktor knows the difference, but it's worth saying. ] I guess I shouldn't be surprised Lucien wants to see where you're from either.
[ but there's a soft grin with that. ]
I kind of have a feeling it's gonna be a busy year coming up. There's a lot of people I want to see or bring to Tokyo, or...both? We have the opportunity now. Of course I'm gonna say yes. And there's so much I could show you that'd you'd love to see and take apart and rebuild. [ visits? let him visit!! ] ...Scien could probably solve the whole thing for me if I asked, but I don't know if that's entirely what I want. [ partially because he still has a little fear of people manipulating his genes and his body too much and partially because he wants this to come undone by his own hands. ] But I'm not going to say no to other resources and other help. I thought that this was it for me, but...you know. This ship made it really, really obvious I'm actually not as alone in stuff as I thought.
no subject
I understand. I realized after, um... some disagreement, I didn't want Scien to solve my problem for me completely either. He did extend to me an offer, and I considered it. I know... a "wish" isn't exactly solving it on my own either, but... I've accepted that's okay for now.
I still have a lot I'd like to help do, and now... I have the time to do it. Like helping Zaun. Like helping others and other places, too.
[Reaching over to give Shoma a hair ruffle because Dahut trained his ass.]
You aren't alone and never were. It took my time on the ship for me to understand that about myself, too. I'll come see you once you're ready. I'll bring you to see where I'm from, too... once I, um... sort it all out.
no subject
Yeah, that sounds about right. [ listen he likes scien a lot but he knows and understands that the man's kind of an asshole! but at the same time he also knows that if explained factually he's more willing to at least provide some guidance. or perhaps he is biased. ] I don't think there's anything wrong with using the wish to solve it. It was still a decision you made and...considering what happened I'd say you earned it. [ man you fucking died. you 100% deserve a good wish. ] You'll get there. With a normal lifespan now, you have more time to really work on your legacy and making Zaun better for the next generation.
[ dahut also trained shoma honestly because it means he accepts the ruffle without trying to bite. he has been tamed. but he does duck his head a little because don't fucking call him out either, wait a minute. ]
Weird lesson to learn here of all places, huh? [ because he knows viktor will understand how jarring, sometimes, it is to know they have a huge amount of support. ] But I'd like that. Don't wait too long, okay? I'm always going to be ready whenever you want to come, and...I can't wait to see what you do to make things better there.
