WEEK 7: MINGLE

WEEK 7     47 CREW ACTIVE
Love speaks in flowers. Truth requires thorns.

WELCOME TO LOTOPHAGOS

With the jubilant (and strange) return of your compatriots, the Junior Crew has been rendered whole again, and the mysteries of the Eudora have finally come close to being solved. You may be wandering the halls early today, or you might be poised in the observation lounge - but anywhere you go, you'll see a hazy pinkness outside the ship, drifting clouds. A few hours into your routine morning aboard the Eudora, a gentle tone fills the air, reverberating off of the walls of the Eudora herself. A synthetic voice, albeit a little more jarring and fuzzy than usual, fills the halls not long after: Entering planet atmosphere, gravity tethers engaging. Stabilizing descension rate. Stabilizing... stabilization complete.

Your seventh and final dropoff is beautiful beyond comparison, and so very much alive. On the horizon, planet Lotophagos rises. The observation deck allows everyone to watch as the Eudora enters the atmosphere through thick, swirling cotton-candy clouds in soft pinks and greens. Below, towers are held captive by great vines and flowers, and it isn't long before you can see from this view that those vines reach out for the Eudora herself, and begin to pull the ship down. It seems like she's been... grounded. Really grounded, and that roots come upwards from the ground to sink themselves into her metallic hull, piercing through any drawings or graffiti that you decorated her with last week.

A message from the address seniorcrew@eudora.net pings you in the middle of whatever it is you happen to be doing at 1200 hours. If you're still somehow sleeping, that ping is definitely loud enough to cut through your sweetest dreams and to rouse you from sleep. There is no way to reply to it, so suffer as it opens itself up and reads:
ATTENTION JUNIOR CREW!
Well. We've made some kind of landfall, so be careful exploring the planet outside the ship this week. And, uh, looks like we're going to be dealing with some troublesome consequences from the high readings of CEM waves here. We'll be doing some preliminary recon of our own, so you're welcome to join us. - Senior Crew
Following the ping is a notification coming from your I.R.I.S. indicating that there are a few new locations that have unlocked aboard the CSS Eudora and the enrichment concourse. If you have any questions or concerns, you'll find that your Senior Crew is available to take your meeting requests. Their callsigns are lit up at the bottom of your contacts list so text away.
Hello, Junior Crew, and welcome to your week 7 mingle! Here are a few things to get you started:

⚠️ Upon waking this week, members of the Eudora's crew will find that the somewhat broken up, distorted message is quite literal in its meaning. This week all effects from the previous weeks will be in play. This means anything from affection week to memory/dream share to transformation week — your characters may shuffle through all or one of the effects from the past several weeks. Each effect's individual rules still apply, but you may blend effects within reason (someone with hanahaki effect may also suffer a transformation effect that blooms flowers on their body, someone with the hunger effect may find themselves hungering for both affection and perhaps someone's memories or nightmares, etc.)

🪐 Pick up some brand, spankin' new supplies. Head on over to Scrap's Final Surplus Sale now partnership with OmegaMart!
🪐 Send messages into deep space utilizing the HER-MES over here!
🪐 Audiences are open. Please submit all audience requests for the week under the proper header here.
🪐 Don't forget your CYOAs. Please head over to Missions to sign up for mini-CYOAs.
🪐 Please turn in your PCs for the week. Submit your links under the proper header here.
