As the clock begins to wind towards 1:00 PM, things on the ship are... quiet. The tension is thick in the air, trepidation abundant. You pulled off the impossible - but was it worth it? Some of you are with the convicted in the brig, waiting, waiting, and the Senior Crew among you are just as tense. A few sit in the brig alongside you, while others wait outside. Hope against hope, right? That maybe something can be done.
(If nothing else, Sheba and Shouxue aren't alone in all of this. You've made sure of that.)
But, much like at trial, there is a shift to the silence. A pair of pneumonic hisses resound in the brig, and the convicted are simply - gone. The tubes that are used to take them away to the brig from the conference hall are now used to transport them elsewhere. No one is expelled from the brig. No one is locked out. They're simply taken away. And then the Eudora's AI calls out across the ship, informing you of where to go. Even if you don't make your way there willingly, your feet will carry you there.
None of you have ever seen the Sim & Grav rooms deactivated in full, before, but you do now - the eerie, orange glow of the blank space, filled with a faint, pink haze when you first arrive, doesn't make a particularly inviting scene when you arrive. But you're brought to the main, largest room, used for large group simulations and zero gravity runs, where a sweet scent lingers as the pink haze fades. And once you've gathered together to one side, that's where you'll be staying - a shimmery barrier falls down to separate you all from what the Eudora has decreed will be an execution.

which then changes back to a slight frown when he sees the scroll and the words. the way i had to change my icon because ara made this sad again. ]
...they've barely even had a chance to really experience life. I think that's the worst part.
no subject
Well. Back to this. ]
I don’t know. Maybe they have.

Who are we to say? [ he just has an opinion and the opinion is this fucking sucks, stop making kids experience the horror of being perceived. ] Even if they have...this shouldn't be how it ends for them.

[ teen murder is a new low, even for her ]

God. [ that's pretty much the sentiment, mumbled as it is. ]

Just turn around if you need to.

Forcing yourself.

fine. there's a noncommittal noise, but he does drop his gaze once the scene shifts again, taking in the sights before they glitch away and it's just sheba's hands on shouxue's neck. he doesn't move otherwise but hey. this continues to suck! ]

But, satisfied that he isn’t trying to be a dumb brave baby about this anymore, Mizuki falls silent as she looks back up. ]

however there's silence for a bit and he happens to look up just in time to watch sheba start falling.
"surviving falls from great heights", wasn't it? maybe it's cruel to hope it isn't true just to put an end to their misery. there's a sound that's almost like distress and frustration in one, but is there anything they can even do?
nope. it's just silently letting this happen, even if he averts his gaze again and flinches with the impact. fuck. ]

At least... that seems to be the end of it.
Until it isn't. ]

jesus. ]

she is forcibly pushing his head back down! ]
no subject
i mean yeah that happens, but you can still hear the sound of silence, the weight of a head falling and then the sound of people moving.
"please return all decommission crew to the stasis bay."
no survivors... he doesn't even bother lifting his head at this point. ]
...let's go.
